My journey starts in Greece. I grew up in Athens from where I moved to Patras to study what I felt I liked the most; Computer Engineering and Informatics. I loved it indeed! For my Diploma Thesis I built a 2-D platform game and its level editor and it was then when I realized how important and fascinating the user interaction aspects are. This new interest along with my passion for art and design made the field of interaction design the perfect next step for me.
This brought me to the Netherlands, to start a post-master training program in User System Interaction. During the two years of my training, I discovered how to apply my knowledge of computers and technology in user-centered design, in order to make systems meaningful and simple for the users. With this new perspective on creating systems, I had the opportunity to design the interaction of very diverse systems, from web and mobile applications to healthcare and work in collaboration with Philips Research, IMEC Holst Center and Maxima Medical Center among others.
Since Januari 2013 I live in Stockholm and I work as an Interaction & UX Designer for SAS, Scandinavian Airlines designing for the best UX in all digital channels of SAS; whether that is the website (desktop/mobile) or mobile apps (iOS, Android, Windows Phone) or large touch-screen displays (airport kiosks, in-flight entertainment systems).
